A Q-36 Fire Finder Radar System from the 161st Target Acquisition Battery of the Kansas National Guard sits at the International Airport in Sarajevo, Bosnia on the morning of the 20th of April, 1996. This Radar System, manned by an eight soldier team, gathers information that deals with small arms weapons, mortars, artillery and rockets as well as many other sorts of weapons being fired. With the help of this Radar System, they can determine where, when, and at what time the weapon was fired, as well as where the round is going to land and when it will do so. They are in Sarajevo to support all local Implementation Force commanders and to warn them of any possible threat in their area during Operation Joint Endeavor. 20 Apr 1996 (Photo DVIC)
