Radar Types

Prior to the AN/ nomenclature system; the “C”; as in CPS; stood for “Air Transportable; Radar; Detecting (range and bearing).  So there may be some disagreement as to whether some of the early radars sets were really “transportable”, or “mobile”.  We’ll leave that up to you.  The other point is CPN “radar beacons”.  Because they were listed as “Air Transportable; Radar; Navigation Aid” they have been included.
